• For Creating a Personal Homepage, All you need is to create a directory named public_html in your user's home directory and copy a html file index.html into it.
  
• You can view your Homepage via http://physics.sharif.edu/~username.
  

Note that There is no difference between physics.sharif.edu and physics.sharif.ir. both names are mapped to the same IP and Server.

• You can use any WYSIWYG HTML Editor (Front Page, Dream Weaver, Microsoft Word, Microsoft SharePoint Designer, etc ...) to create you Personal Page.
  
• Name your main page as index.html
• When using local Links or Images, use relative addresses ( For example instead of using "C:\Document and Settings\User\Test\Pictures\logo.jpg" use something like "..\Pictures\logo.jpg" depending on your directory structure.
• Copy your directory structure(Including html files and data folders) to folder public_html as described in File Transfer.
• When uploading files, note that our file system is case-sensitive, so files with name "A.jpg" and "a.jpg" are different.
