Semester Rules Semester Rules

Before the first session, please get the hard copy of "Electronics Lab. 1 Manual Booklet" from the publication room of department.

Here you can see some rules of the class:

  • In every session we do JUST one experiment. all the groups do the same one!
  • Students work in 2 or 3 some groups, depending on the TA discretion.
  • Every "Group" should write "one" report.
  • The report should be delivered to the TA (hard copy or email)  just one week after the experiment, after that, there is 1 point subtraction (from 20 points of the report) for every day delay (until -7 points). Also there is additional point for early deliveration (until +7 points)
  • DO NOT deliver your reports partly! deliver them compeletly.
  • In the first of every session one group should present the concepts and manual of the experiment.
    • The presentation lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.
    • Presence of ALL the students in the presentation is obligatory!
    • After presentation you are free to go out and come in, but you should do your experiment ontime.
    • The presentations can be in Power Point format, it's better to present your power point with this properties:
      • Interactive, you can ask some little questions from others between your slides, try to motivate them!
      • Appealing, try to use interesting pictures and clear scenario.
    • For your presentation, you can use available powerpoints on this website or make yours.
    • Your PowerPoint will be uploaded on this website just if it be "OPEN Media". Here is a template for OPEN power point (in farsi):

  • Score of this Lab. is divided as below:
Reports 9 points
Presence in Presentation, doing experiment and answering oral questions 6 points
Presentation 1 point
Final exam 4 points
Answering to special questions +

 

  • For reporting, it is important to "analyze" the experiment and find "error values" and  "error sources". There is no necessity to mention the theory of experiment in your report.
  • Do not match your results with theoretical calculations manually! just compare them, and find error. There is no point subtraction for big errors!
