Research Interests

Optical properties of nanoparticles and nanostructures, work on gasochromic materials, gas sensors, photo detectors, work on multiferoic materials, random lasers.

Research Plan

Our group is studying on different materials which potentially can be used to make some devices such as gas sensors, photo detectors, spintronic devices and multiple state memory elements. We also recently have started to study the Zn-Cu-Ni alloy system as a catalyst in fuel cells to produce H2. The technique we are using to prepare the samples for the above purposes is mostly pulsed laser ablation or pulsed laser deposition using different wavelengths.
