Research Interests

Elementary Particle Physics, Quantum Field Theory at Finite Temperature QCD under Extreme Conditions, Noncommutative Gauge Theories.

Research Plan

Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) is regarded as the fundamental theory describing the strong force between quarks and gluons. In our research group, we are interested on the effects of temperature, baryonic chemical potential, and, in particular, external electromagnetic fields on a system containing quarks and gluons. We use effective field theory descriptions to study the QCD phase transition and the critical behavior of quark matter under extreme conditions. QCD phase transition occurs not only in the Early Universe but also in Relativistic Heavy Ion experiments. Extreme densities and very strong magnetic fields exist in the neutron stars.
